French label Valentino as led by designer Pierpaolo Piccioli presented its menswear runway in Paris yesterday (January 15, 2019), a collection highlighted with a performance by London singer FKA Twigs (real name Tahliah Debrett Barnett).
Wearing a crystal head piece and dressed in a white embroidered gown detailed with a crystal shrug and an Elizabethan ruff collar, the ever ethereal Twigs appeared to be an actual angel on this god-forsaken Earth.
Accompanied by a piano and cello and performing on a stage behind the presentation, the singer performed three songs from her album MAGDALENE, released in November of last year. Twigs opened the performance with “mary magdalene” followed by “cellophane” and the heartfelt “home with you”
Remarking on the performance Piccioli wrote on Instagram, “Your talent is pure beauty, you let us dream, all. Grazie”
