German comfort brand Birkenstock and Stüssy return, once again working off of a Boston clog. Featuring a suede upper, the shoe is embossed with the Stüssy logo just under the shoe’s buckle while Birkenstock is stamped on the medial side of the shoe. The shoe is offered in mink, bone or soft pink. Tapping into Stüssy’s Los Angeles’ roots, campaign images were shot beachside with the oceans and surfers providing a backdrop.
This is the second time Birkenstock is collaborating with Stüssy. The two partnered on the same model this time last year, but offered the shoe with a corduroy upper. The collaboration is housed under Birkenstock’s 1774 division, which acts as an umbrella for special projects and inspired by the shoe company’s founding year. Headquartered in Paris, 1774 functions as an incubator for developing innovation and new partnerships.
Pricing hasn’t been announced for the suede Birks, but for an approximation the corduroy ones sold for $180. Birkenstock and Stüssy’s suede clog will drop on birkenstock.co and stussy.com at 10:00 AM EST on August 27, 2021.
