Brooklyn-based L’Enchanteur, established in 2012 spearheaded by twin sisters Soull and Dynasty Ogun presented its first runway show this week. Staged in a quaint Ditmas Park, Brooklyn mansion, the event was an elegant and warm affair titled: Hood Breakfast: Roseau, Lagos, Brooklyn. Described by the designers as the timeline of their parents love story, the setting and the collection was meant to invoke their layered identities blending the heritage of their mother who was from the island of Dominica, their father from Nigeria and their upbringing in Flatbush, Brooklyn.
To the sound of West Indian and Nigerian beats, a diverse cast of models showcased apparel, footwear and jewelry as they walked through the house’s living room, dining room and bedroom.
