This past spring, Mattel’s Barbie and Italian design house Kartell introduced a limited edition miniature collection of some of Kartell’s most recognizable chairs. Created by design legend Philippe Starck, the set features bright pink miniatures of classics like the Louis Ghost, A.I., Venice, Masters, and the egg-shaped Ero|S| swivel armchair, all reimagined in Barbie’s signature pink.
The collaboration made its debut at Milan Design Week, where full-sized versions of two of Kartell’s standout designs,the Louis Ghost and the Masters chair also got the Barbie treatment, decked out in the doll’s signature pink. The limited-edition Louis Ghost chair is currently available for $550, while a pair of the Masters chairs goes for $770.
