Adidas Originals links with Pharrell Williams and his Billionaire Boys Club label on “Palm Tree” capsule of Stan Smith silhouettes and coordinated apparel, including a track jacket, tee-shirt, tank top and shorts.
Recalling Pharrell’s first crack at making shoes in the early aughts, the shoes feature an all over palm tree screen print similar to the shoes he made under his Ice Cream shoe brand in collaboration with Reebok (who he sued to end the relationship in 2003). The sneakers also feature the BBC signature astronaut on the tongue and a “B” on the heel tab.
Pharrell’s offical partnership with Adidas was announced in March 2014, and if you recall, the singer and mogul took back full ownership of BBC and Ice Cream from Iconix earlier this year so it makes sense that he’s putting some effort into rehabilitating the profile of his brands. Pharrell also become a 50 percent owner of G-Star earlier this year.
The Adidas Originals x Pharrell Williams x Billionaire Boys Club “Palm Tree” will launch June 25, 2016, at Adidas Originals and Billionaire Boys Club flagship stores, online and select retailers globally.
