Musician Santigold who has worked with Wangechi Mutu and Kehinde Wiley on prior projects maintains her close connection with the art world with a video for the single “Banshee,” whose visuals were made in collaboration with artist Kara Walker. Shot in low light, shots of a dancing, red-haired Santigold are alternated with shadow puppets manipulated by both the singer and Walker.
“Banshee” is from Santigold’s 99 Cents album released earlier this year.
