Designer Alexander Wang was captured in the midst of an MTV VMA gate keeping kerfuffle last night (it’s not clear if it was a case of mistaken identity or just him not being able to sidestep the red carpet the way he wanted to & btw, how amazing are his cheekbones??), but more importantly, it appears Wang was wearing what looks like a sneak peek of his upcoming collaboration with Adidas Originals.
Take a look and you’ll see his long-sleeved black top features an upside-down Trefoil plus the three-stripes on his sleeves are a modified hybrid of Wang’s signature barcode and Adidas’s three stripes. Rumors of a Wang/Adidas collaboration first emerged in mid-July, as floated by WWD though neither party has confirmed the partnership.
Wang will present his runway on September 10th at 9PM so we will find out soon enough.
