At her launch party for Fenty Beauty in New York, a Valentino-clad Rihanna did an interview largely centered on her new makeup line, but was also asked by the reporter what she would like to do next that she hasn’t accomplished yet.
“Maybe furniture?” she told the interviewer (at 05:25 below). “I’ve thought about it, I’ve dreamt about it. I also like to dabble in designing my places that I live in. I have fun doing that. Anything that’s creative. Basically anything you can create, I probably will eventually be a part of. I get bored easily.”
And while there aren’t a lot of current images of Rihanna’s multiple homes, from looking at past images, she favors a look that’s clean and spare. And then of course, there’s her famed Jorje Morfin 400-pound crystal mesh Christmas tree, which also reflects a interest in taking an artful approach.
We hope Ikea is listening. If it can link with Virgil Abloh, why not a woman like Rihanna who’s equally admired for her creativity.
