Phew! What an amazing year it’s been for Cardi B. She landed a Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single, a collaboration with Nicki Minaj and to cap it all off a proposal from her boyfriend Offset, who proposed last night in front of fans at Power 99’s Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia Friday night.
The proposal comes on the heels of a brief break up between the couple, which lasted less than 24 hours. In an interview following the proposal, Cardi explained that Offset had often mentioned he would one day marry her. The duo went public with their relationship when they attended the Superbowl in Houston in February 2017.
Following the proposal, Cardi wrote on Instagram, “Jesus Christ I’m so emotional, Offset, I loveee you so much. Thank you for seeing the potential in me since you met me. For giving me advice, molding me and loving me. Your such a amazing man to me your family, friends,kids and you are extremely talented. I can’t wait to spend FOREVAAAA with you. Lets make a lot shmoney and love together.”
In a post providing a close up on the eight-carat ring, she wrote, “Hey babe I like the fact my ring got pink Diamonds around the Rock oooooo and of course it wouldn’t be you if it wasn’t shape like a raindrop.Thanks Pristine Jewelers for helping customize my ring.”
Offset is 25 and his real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus. He was born on December 14, 1991, making him a Sagittarius. Cardi B is just over a year younger than Offset. Born on October 11, 1992, she is a Libra.
