In support of the LGBT community, Adidas Originals has linked with a group of creatives to create custom designs working off the Samba model. Titled “Prouder,” the project was organized by DJ Fat Tony, who’s been a prominent queer London DJ since ’80s.
“I wanted to create something with Adidas that really spoke to where we are today by envisaging a new notion of Pride as being one with no labels and how we as a community alongside our allies can push things further still,” ” said Tony in an Adidas press release.
Participants include Amanda Lepore, Bella Freud, Blondey McCoy, Jake and Dinos Chapman, Goldie, Kate Moss, Marc Jacobs, Naomi Campbell, Pharrell Williams, Philip Treacy, Charlotte Tilbury, Elton John, Henry Holland, Edward Enninful, Sir Ian McKellen and Skunk Anansie, Liam Payne, Paloma Faith, Pet Shop Boys, Sam McKnight, Nick Knight and Boy George.
