Staged in Manhattan’s famed downtown bookstore The Strand, Koché designer Christelle Kocher staged a men’s and women’s runway in the retailer’s rare books section.
A chic mix of tailored clothing with touches of streetwear flair, the collection of pre-fall looks also referenced her ongoing collaboration with with soccer team Paris Saint Germain.
Based in Paris, Koher shared her decision to show her collection in New York rather than her home city. “In Paris, you have history and here you have more energy and dynamism,” Kocher told WWD. “It was also a really good message for me to come here. So many brands have not been showing in New York and for me it’s always so inspiring.”
