Belgian-Congolese singer, rapper and model Marie Pierra- Kakoma, who performs as Lous and the Yakuza, paid a visit to COLORS where she premiered “Bon Acteur.” Sung in French, the silky smooth song references a love interest who’s deceitful ways inspired the song’s title (“Good Actor” in English).
The single will be included on Lous’ debut album, Gore, dropping sometime in the fall. Mainly produced by Spanish-born El Guincho (real name Pablo Díaz-Reixa), the album was recorded in Paris, Brussels and Barcelona. While Lous sings predominately in French, she mixes in English as well as Kinyarwanda, a language spoken in the Congo and Rwanda.
Lous (an anagram of the word “soul”) was born in The Democratic Republic of the Congo, but grew up between Belgium and Rwanda. She began working with El Guincho last year and released her debut single “Dilleme” in September 2019.
