In celebration of Marc Jacobs' 40th anniversary, Dior’s menswear artistic director, Kim Jones, has designed a limited-edition charm necklace.

The piece features balloon-style CD and MJ initials paired with crystal pendants, evoking Marc’s enduring influence on fashion. “It reminds me of an era of Marc where he made the world shiny and bright, which he still does,” Jones shared with WWD. “Marc is a hero to so many people in fashion. He has pioneered so much for the fashion industry; there is a school of Marc Jacobs, with so many designers having worked with him and for him throughout his career.”

The necklaces retail for 1,500 Euros and will be available in 14 Dior boutiques worldwide, including the flagship at 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris, Fifth Avenue in New York City, Harrods in London, and locations in Miami, Dubai, Tokyo, Singapore, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taipei.

Cairo-born model Anok Yai, who is of South Sudanes

Cairo-born model Anok Yai, who is of South Sudanese descent, took to X this morning where she commented on The British Fashion Council awarding Alex Consani model of the year.

The Petaluma, California-born Consani is the first trans woman to win the award. In her award speech, Consani thanked the trans Black women who she said made it possible for her to win the award.

Addressing Consani and BFC, Yai wrote, "Alex, I love you and I’m so proud of you. British Fashion Council, thank you but I don’t want it anymore."

In a second post, she added, "If you have seen the effort that I’ve seen Alex put in; you would understand how proud I am of her. But Alex can be proud and I can be exhausted at the same time. It doesn’t take away how much love we have for each other."

Response to Yai's comments mainly have been supportive.

This is Yai's second year being nominated for the award. She lost the award in 2023 to model Paloma Elsesser.

The 26-year-old Yai was famously discovered while attending a homecoming event at Howard University in 2017. She is the only Black model other than Naomi Campbell to open a Prada runway. This year she made waves in a bridal look on Vetements' spring 2025 runway.

Consani's selection comes in the midst of an increasingly treacherous environment for trans people, especially in the United States where Republicans, who swept all three branches of the government in the November election, made push back on trans rights a centerpiece of their campaigns.

Loewe and JW Anderson designer Jonathan Anderson was awarded British Fashion Council's Designer of the Year Award, last night. Aderson was up against Chemena Kamali for Chloé, John Galliano for Maison Margiela, Miuccia Prada for Miu Miu, Pieter Mulier for Alaïa and Rick Owens for Rick Owens.

Grace Wales Bonner took home British Menswear Designer of the Year. Bonner was up against Craig Green for Craig Green, Jonathan Anderson for JW Anderson and Loewe, Kiko Kostadinov for Kiko Kostadinov, Kim Jones for Dior Men and Martine Rose for Martine Rose.

Simone Rocha took home British Womenswear Designer of the Year. Nominees in the category included Erdem Moralıoğlu for Erdem, Jonathan Anderson for JW Anderson and Loewe, Maximilian Davis for Ferragamo and Roksanda Ilinčić for Roksanda.
