Los Angeles-based Bella Doña led by Lala Romero and Natalia Durazo unveil an ongoing collaboration with the fabulous Betty Boop.

In an email exchange with Romero, she expressed to us significance of Betty Boop within West Coast Latina culture. “I am a lifelong Betty Boop fan, so this partnership is super meaningful to me.I really do think of Betty as one of our OG fashion and beauty icons/influencers. There’s something intergenerational about her that makes her nostalgic, but at the same time, she’s always been ahead of her time. She has inspired so many generations of Latinas. In many of our families, Betty Boop heirlooms like cookie jars and watches are passed down to us from our mothers and grandmothers.”

Betty’s riding outfit is inspired by the brands Mexican roots. The first drop with @fleischerstudios and Global Icons of Betty Boop and @belladonala launches during Hispanic Heritage Month.
