This February, Vans introduces its latest Old Skool Music Collection, highlighting the connection between skate culture and music that has long defined its heritage.

Introduced at a global media event in Los Angeles, the campaign features indie band The Paranoyds, Indonesian rock trio Voice of Baceprot, British rapper Little Simz, and Detroit underground hip-hop duo Hi-Tech, all reminiscent of Vans Warped Tour music featival era.

The Old Skool Music Collection reimagines the classic silhouette with premium materials, bold colorways, and a bio-based foam insole that provides a cozy new level of comfort (which we had the chance to test firsthand). Designs range from Vans’ signature black-and-white checkerboard to sleek suede and canvas textures.

The Vans Old Skool Music Collection will be released in three drops: a retro-punk capsule on February 6th, a ’90s Warped Tour-inspired capsule on March 6th, and an indie hip-hop capsule on April 10th.

Hear us out: Putting aside the millennials for whom skinnies never went out of style--(you know the type!), there's also a woman who likes to keep a pair of skinnies in her closet for date nights because that's what her boyfriend (or husband) prefers.

From a practical standpoint, they're also the only silhouettes that make sense for dressy boots.

In conclusion, skinny jeans are an option in the rotation, but by no means is the silhouette going to take over the landscape like it once did.
