Adidas Originals teams up with New York-based desi

Adidas Originals teams up with New York-based designer Willy Chavarria to celebrate his Paris Fashion Week debut with a one-of-a-kind pop-up activation and a limited-edition capsule collection. The collab comprises of cozy range of apparel and footwear.

As part of the celebration, a vintage lowrider Chevy Impala will cruise through the streets of Paris, stopping at secret locations to distribute limited-edition, Paris-exclusive merchandise. The lowrider’s journey will culminate outside the show venue, providing a final opportunity to snag pieces from the collection. Additionally tickets distributed during the pop-up will grant access to a hidden page on the adidas CONFIRMED app, where the collection can be purchased and picked up at the adidas Originals Paris flagship store.

Willy Chavarria’s Paris Fashion Week runway show is set to take place on January 24th at 12 PM EST.

Adam Selman allegedly is stepping down from his Sa

Adam Selman allegedly is stepping down from his Savage X Fenty chief design officer role, according to Puck News "Line Sheet" columnist Lauren Sherman. The 40-year-old, Texas-born Selman, who has had an enduring fashion relationship with Savage X Fenty founder Rihanna, was appointed design director for the lingerie label in January 2023. Prior to Savage X Fenty, he led his own label, Adam Selman Sport.

It's not known why Selman allegedly is moving on from the label. According to Sherman, the company was thrown off by CEO Hillary Super's decision to leave Savage X Fenty, after just one year on the job, for the same role at Victoria’s Secret.

As for what's next, Sherman wrote, "[Selman] is always in the conversation for jobs in Europe, where his partner, Daniel Roseberry, designs Schiaparelli. So maybe he’s off to Paris?"

Swedish sneaker company Sneakersnstuff (SNS) has f

Swedish sneaker company Sneakersnstuff (SNS) has filed for bankruptcy, according to Nordic media site Ehandel. We reported last year that the sneaker retailer temporarily closed down its New York and Los Angeles stores and now the company is shuttering all U.S. stores permanently along with operations in Japan. In a worrisome sign, company CEO Fredrik Malm stepped down from his role in October 2024 and hasn't since been replaced.

Norwegian venture capital firm FSN Capital acquired a majority of Sneakersnstuf in 2018 and currently owns 60 percent of the company. Co-founder Erik Fagerlind departed from SNS in 2022 but still serves as a board member of the company.

In a financial report from 2024, the company spoke to a challenging environment, writing, "In addition to the discontinued collaboration between Adidas and Yeezy from Q422, the sales development of the largest brands, with a few exceptions, has been sharply negative. The most important category of products has also been negatively affected by changing customer behavior. The company has taken major measures to reduce costs."

Company co-founder Peter Jansson is hopeful that SNS will continue to operate its European locations, though the store in Sweden is currently closed. SNS in Berlin, London and Paris remain open.

In a post on Instagram, Jansson wrote, "Thanks for all the support from our staff, customers, suppliers and collaboration partners during these 26 years! Despite the struggle the last couple of years, it’s been an amazing journey. We’ve come a long way in the restructuring of SNS and I really believe in our new business plan. In combination with a reset from the bankruptcy, I hope SNS will be able to continue this journey."

It's been a tough stretch in the sneaker space. Stadium Goods recently closed its Howard Street store in SoHo, and Converse shuttered its location on Broadway in the same neighborhood.
