Liberty Fairs And Capsule’s New York Men’s Shows Were All About A Low Key Flex

Check out some of our images from Liberty Fairs and Capsule’s menswear show held at Pier 94 in Manhattan last week. Brands were showing looks for fall 2017, which revealed a very low key color story with lots of black, navy and grey. And while the retro sport theme remains an important one in terms of crew neck sweatshirts and coaches jackets, the steady progression away from joggers as a bottoms story continues with denim and dark-colored twill bottoms (and a bit of khaki) taking their place.

Overall, the look was all about a low key flex, taking a tone on tone dark color story and adding a bit of quiet flash through an unexpected added embellishment or graphic print story and anchoring the look with a cool pair of kicks.

Perhaps it’s a look that’s fitting given the chaos swirling under new leadership; one that is good for hunkering down and conserving one’s energy for the long haul.

Images are captioned with the brand labels as appropriate. We labeled the brands people were wearing when we recognized them.
