Supreme And Lacoste’s Capsule Makes The Most Of Preppy Style

March 13, 2017. Leave a Comment

The rumored Supreme and Lacoste collaborative collection has been confirmed and will arrive as part of Supreme’s March 16th drop. While the Lacoste brand isn’t at the most vibrant point in its long history, it will certainly receive an injection of energy from its pairing with Supreme.

The New York streetwear label provided some notes on the Lacoste offerings, pointing out the history of the company, as well as the background for its famous reptile logo. “Lacoste was founded in 1933 after the meeting of legendary tennis player René Lacoste and André Gillier. Inspired by Lacoste’s nickname, Alligator, and the shirt style worn by polo players in London, Lacoste and Gillier conceived of a polo shirt bearing the now iconic crocodile logo,” wrote Supreme.

True to Lacoste’s history, offerings reflect a heritage preppy vibe and include a Harrington jacket, track jacket, tennis sweater, crewneck, long sleeve polo, track pants, shorts and baseball cap.

What are the must-have pieces? The embossed logo crewnecks (the baby blue!) are pretty awesome though if you already have enough cotton sweatshirts in your wardrobe, the Harrington jacket with the Supreme and Lacoste logo on either side of the jacket is pretty sweet, too.

These offerings will be sold in Supreme’s New York, Los Angeles, London and Paris stores and online shop on March 16th. They hit in Japan on March 18th.

A new #Gucci luggage campaign under Sabato de Sarn A new #Gucci luggage campaign under Sabato de Sarno's creative direction starring Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny, was unveiled this weekend.

To give context to the campaign, a portion of the press release reads,"Shot in an airport, the meeting place where journeys begin, the campaign explores the intimacy of traveling together through the creative lens of Anthony Seklaoui. Stills capture the fleeting spirit of Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny's airport stroll, redefining the Jet Set glamour of the 1990s."

Does this campaign count as a relationship hard launch?

Sarah Burton presented her last collection as Alex Sarah Burton presented her last collection as Alexander McQueen's creative director during Paris Fashion Week this Saturday. Naomi campbell closed the show in a stunning silver dress!

Burton's tenure as creative director for Alexander McQueen has been remarkable, spanning an impressive 26 years. Her ability to maintain the brand's distinctive blend of beauty and edge is noteworthy.

Burton became creative director in 2010 after the tragic loss of Lee Alexander McQueen. As the only female creative director in Kering's fashion portfolio, her contributions have been significant, and her departure, in our opinion leaves a big gap in a house with a very deep and unique brand dna.

Any thoughts on who will be the next McQueen creative director?
