Moroccan-born and New York based, singer/songwriter Abir has released a visual for “Playground” a single, whose lyrics advocate for a less social media-centered life.
“Playground” is a song about enjoying the present. Put your phone down, be with the people that you love, have a good time, don’t worry about anything else,” said Abir in an interview with Paper magazine, which helped produce the visual.
The visual follows “Girls,” a single and visual released in early May. Abir says she doesn’t have plans to drop an EP anytime soon, and at the moment is focused instead on releasing music on a regular basis. “I just wanted to put out music every couple months. I want to keep releasing content as much as I can because that’s what I feel is important right now. More music, more videos, more things,” explained Abir.
