Snobette Sounds: Best New Music By Women In February 2018

February 27, 2018. Leave a Comment

As we close out Black History month, Snobette Sounds curator, Eb the Celeb, aptly places a focus on sharing music the great women of Wakanda would surely nod their heads to. Gather round and listen to a collection of songs dedicated to the best new music released by black women around the globe.

The 15 tracks include artists from the Motherland, Europe, the Caribbean and of course these United States. In a nod to Whitney Houston’s iconic “we need a longer month” comment on Black History month, we’ve added five bonus tracks for a total of 20 great new songs.

Artists include the return of iconic great Toni Braxton (who fulfilled a long held dream for Rihanna when she performed at her b-day party earlier this month), Jamaican dancehall baddie Spice, more heat from Houston badass Megan thee Stallion, the long-awaited return of Janelle Monae, soulful sounds from Zilo, serious spitting from D.C.’s Sa-Roc, a sexy sizzler via Olivia Nelson and a bunch more.

Check out February’s tracks below and follow our monthly-updated Snobette Sounds playlist here. If you’re in need of even more great tracks by women, be sure to check out Eb’s  “Bad Bitch Anthems” playlist.
