SZA fans are finally going to get some new music from their fave even if it’s not a new album, much less the Ctrl deluxe album she spoke about last year.
The Jersey-raised Solána Imani Rowe, who as of late has been mysteriously referring to herself on Instagram as Amarachi Chinonso, today (April 16, 2019) confirmed she will be included on DJ Khaled‘s much-hyped Father of Asahd album, slated to drop May 17, 2019.
Additional artists rumored to be on the album include The Carters, Cardi B, Meek Mill, Lil Baby, Lil Wayne and Nipsey Hussle, among others.
Both SZA and Khaled talked up the project on the set of what looks like a video shoot. With both wearing ancient warrior gear, SZA responds to Khaled’s questions about whether her vocals are in with a big smile, answering affirmatively, “Vocals are in!” Khaled follows by noting that not only are SZA’s vocals complete, a video for the song is as well.
In addition to the Khaled song, SZA will also be featured on a “Game of Thrones” soundtrack with a song titled “Power Is Power” featuring Travis Scott and The Weekend.
Dropping April 18th and titled For the Throne, the album also includes A$AP Rocky, Lil Peep, Joey Badass, Ty Dolla $ign, The National, Rosalía featuring A. Chal, Chloe x Halle, Jacob Banks, Ellie Goulding, James Arthur, Lennon Stella, Maren Morris, X Ambassadors, Matthew Bellamy and The Lumineers.
The first-ever “Game of Thrones” soundtrack will be released in vinyl with 11 different versions featuring art representing the various Westeros houses.
