If you’re a hipster hotel heaux, you’re going to love The Standard Hotel London, the company’s first location outside of the United States. Newly open for business as of Thursday (July 12, 2019), the building occupies the the former Camden Town Hall Annexe, transformed through partial demolition and significant restructuring
The minimalist but very posh 266-room hotel features 12 rooms with outdoor baths, a public garden, first floor lounge/library, ground-floor restaurant and pub, plus a 10th floor Latin-themed restaurant and bar (opening in September) boasting a 360-degree-view of the city.
While London nightlife tends to wrap up early, the hotel imports its own reputation for decadence with a 24-hour liquor license.
Putting the exclamation point on the hotel’s cool standing, the staff’s uniforms and bathrobes are designed by London designer Craig Green. Priced at $248, the robe is available for pre-order on The Standard’s online shop.
