Music creatives Doja Cat and SZA have joined forces on new single “Kiss Me More,” a light and easy disco-infused track released alongside a Warren Fu-directed visual. The song is the debut single from Doja’s forthcoming sophomore album Planet Her, planned for a summer 2021 release.
Setting the stage for the other-worldly album title, the video opens with a handsome space traveler (played by Grey’s Anatomy actor Alex Landi) landing on a planet covered with pink sand. The explorer soon discovers he’s in the land of the pink giants, as realized in the form of Doja and SZA who work through a series of sumptuous pink outfits. The video ends with fun and games, literally.
Both Doja and SZA have been on a roll this year, enjoying charting success for multiple singles. While Doja’s Hot Pink album was released in late 2019, two singles from the project, “Streets” and “Say So,” have stormed the charts globally thanks in part because of their embrace on TikTok. Meanwhile, SZA’s recently-released singles “Hit Different” and “Good Days” have also been sitting pretty on the charts.
