Music creative and CEO Kanye West has followed up on the release of Donda on Sunday evening (August 29, 2021) with a four-piece collection of merch. Described as “engineered by Balenciaga,” offerings include two long-sleeve t-shirts, a mask and cap. All items are made from 100-percent cotton. The drop also includes a digital download for the Donda album priced at $10 and available for download upon purchases.
Balenciaga designer Demna Gvasalia was also the creative director for the Chicago listening party. Prior to the event, he collaborated with West on the design of a DMX memorial t-shirt.
One t-shirt features a photograph of his mother, Donda West, on the front of the shirt and on the back, a photo of West’s childhood home, a reference to the Donda listening party in Chicago whose set was centered by a replica of the house. West’s mother died at age 58 in 2007.
The second t-shirt features the presidential seal on the front of the shirt and the year “2024” on the back. The t-shirt lines up with prior hints West may run for president again. Even before the results of the election were known, on November 4, 2020 took to Twitter where he wrote, “KANYE 2024.”
Sized from S-2XL and priced from $60 for the cap up to $200 for the t-shirt, all items are now available on shop.kanyewest.com. Items will ship in 12-16 weeks.
