As it generally is, December was a mainly quiet month for new music. In what has become an annual affair, Mariah Carey‘s monster single “All I Want for Christmas” once again topped the charts, retaining its No. 1 spot on Billboard’s January 8, 2022 Hot 100 chart. Prior to Carey’s song returning to the charts, the No. 1 spot was held for three weeks by Adele‘s “Easy on Me” single.
Sadly, the end of December marked another year in which we didn’t see any new music by our fave Rihanna. Maybe next year.
