Summer 2022 is now in the books and it left us with plenty of great music by women. In August, Beyoncé blessed the Behive with Renaissance, her seventh solo project, while fellow Houstonite Megan thee Stallion dropped her second album titled Traumazine. Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj racked up her third No. 1 single with her infectious “Super Freaky Girl” single.
In addition to singles by Minaj and Megan, August’s best-of list includes songs by or featuring SZA, Latto, GloRilla, Lakeyah, Gloss Up, Tink, Kali, City Girls, Latto, Jhené Aiko and Summer Walker.
