Louis Vuitto officially has announced Pharrell Williams as Louis Vuitton’s creative director, effective immediately. His first collection will be revealed in June during the Men’s Fashion Week in Paris.
Commenting on the appointment, Louis Vuitton CEO Pietro Beccari said, “I am glad to welcome Pharrell back home, after our collaborations in 2004 and 2008 for Louis Vuitton, as our new Men’s Creative Director. His creative vision beyond fashion will undoubtedly lead Louis Vuitton towards a new and very exciting chapter.”

Music and fashion creative Pharrell Williams is reportedly in talks to assume the role of creative director at Louis Vuitton. The position was held by Virgil Abloh until he passed in November 2021. While luxury conglomerate LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton and Williams haven’t officially announced the appointment, the news was confirmed today by French publication Le Figaro.
Hinting that something is to come, the 49-year-old Williams’ Instagram feed was wiped clean earlier today.
The multi-hyphenate Williams resume include multiple fashion projects and collabs. He made his entry into fashion with the launch of Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream, labels he co-founded with Nigo (real name Tomoaki Nagao). He’s also collaborated with Adidas, Chanel and Uniqlo, among others. In November 2020, he added to his brand stable with the launch of Human Race, a skin care brand
