CFDA Vogue fashion fund recipient Christopher John Rogers has been announced as among the three designers included in the Target‘s Designer Dress Collection, a concept that debuted in spring 2020.
The New York-based Rogers will be included also features London’s vintage-inspired RIXO as well as Alexis, a label launched by mother-daughter duo Ana and Alexis Barbara.
Commenting on the announcement, Rogers stated, “Growing up as an artistic kid in the Deep South, I’ve always aspired to create designs that help the wearer feel their most self-expressive. This partnership is a dream come true. I’ve always admired the Target designer collaborations in the past, and I’m excited to be a part of that legacy. I’ve had a blast working with the Target team and I hope this collection of quality, declarative dresses helps Target guests across the country feel their most authentic.”
All three designers offer up dresses that are a celebration of color and floral prints, which feel right on time given a return to to more normal gatherings and activities in a post-COVID-19 world.
Sized from from XXS-4X and price from $40-$60, Target hasn’t provided a specific launch date other than spring 2021.
