The brands latest round of financing raised $240 million after a sales increase of 90% last year. Kim Kardashian and business partner Jens Grede still retain a controlling stake after the investment.

In an email exchange with Bloomberg, Kardashian commented on the investment saying,"This latest round will allow us to focus on bringing more innovations and solutions to our customers and become even more of a trusted resource for them."

Growth plans for Skims include expanding shipping overseas, more collaborations and wholesale with the following retail partners: Lane Crawford in China, David Jones in Australia, Selfridges in the U.K, and Ounass in the Middle East.

The shoe is one of 47 AF1s Abloh designed as part of the label’s spring ‘22 collection and is distinguished by an orange case. 200 pairs of the shoe are being auctioned.

The highest bid thus far is a size 10 shoe with a bid of $35k. The auction ends Feb. 8th.

Hopefully bids rack up even higher because proceeds will benefit Abloh’s Post-Modern Scholarship Fund, an organization he founded in 2020.

Abloh was involved in the planning of the auction before he passed on Nov. 28th.
