Los Angeles-based HLZBLZ has revealed a lookbook in conjunction with its “Locals Only” collection, a spring drop inspired by cult favorite film Mi Vida Loca. Released in 1994, the drama portraying the lives of Mousie and Sad Girl, two young women growing up in a gang-steeped working class neighborhood in Los Angeles.
Taking cues from the movie, the collection includes an Eat It and 8 Ball jacket, plus a Sad Girl crop and Loca wide leg short. There’s even a shout out to much-loved Mexican American singer Selena Quintanilla-Pérez (R.I.P.).
