Liberty Fairs is a men’s show with a little bit of women’s mixed in, but it’s still very much a Vegas must visit for us because let’s face it, it’s been guys who have been responsible for the best new trends for the past few years and Liberty is very much up in that mix.
Anchored by its ultra-cool Freedom Hall section, as well as the addition of “photo studios” manned by cutting edge influentials, the return and rise of vintage-inspired denim and sport, joggers, bomber jackets, white leather sneakers and the current penchant for washed out earth-toned color palettes are all stories we first saw supported at Liberty. Yes, runways may (emphasis on “may”) be more cutting edge, but it’s at the trade show where new ideas must pass muster with actual paying customers.
Hat tip to owners Sharifa Murdock and Sam Ben-avraham, whose passion for men’s fashion is the halo that makes this not just a trade show, but a safe space for creativity and commerce to be inspired by each other and work out their differences.
