Houston rapper Megan thee Stallion took to Instagram today (August, 29, 2020) where she provided a graphic look at her injured foot, revealing patches of missing skin and stitches. In a second image, a doctor is shown treating her foot. Megan has stated she sustained single bullet wound to each of her feet, injuries serious enough that they required surgery.
While rapper Tory Lanez (real name Daystar Peterson) is thought to be responsible for shooting her early in the morning on July 12th, Megan hasn’t provided details on what lead to the shooting nor has she named him.
In the Instagram post accompanying the graphic photograph of her foot, Megan (real name Megan Pete) appeared to be responding to people questioning whether or not she was shot.
The chatter followed an image of Megan posted on DJ Khaled‘s (real name Khaled Khaled) Instagram feed where her right foot appears to be bandage free. Some felt the image was at odds with the bandage she was seen wearing while partying with Asian Doll (real name Misharron Allen) a few nights later. Internet sleuths defending Megan have pointed out the bandage was on her left foot while the Khaled image showed her right foot.
Responding to the debate, the 25-year-old Houston Hottie wrote, “Lol what I have learned abt majority of the people on social media is y’all like to hear bad news before good news, a lie spreads quicker than the truth, and y’all really be believing the shit YALL make up… I got hit at the back of my feet because when I got shot I was WALKING AWAY FACING THE BACK. why would I lie abt getting shot?”
Addressing her upbeat mood, which some also view as suspicious, she added, “Why are y’all so upset that I don’t wanna be in the bed sad ? Why y’all upset that I can walk ? I got my stitches out my feet like 2 weeks ago and I was ready to go celebrate WAP going number1… I usually don’t address internet bullshit but y’all people are so sick! God was really watching over me and I’m healing so well! Sorry I’m not as sad and miserable as a lot of y’all lol but ima keep being Megan Thee Mf STALLION.”
While Megan is dealing with the recovery, she’s had some good news to lift her spirits. In addition to landing her second No. 1 single as a featured artist on Cardi B‘s “WAP” single, she was also recently announced as Revlon‘s latest global brand ambassador.
