Following rumors that Rihanna had broken up with A$AP Rocky for cheating on her with shoe designer Amina Muaddi, the couple were spotted arriving in Barbados on Friday (April 15, 2022) night.

The cheating scandal blew up on Twitter where freelance fashion writer Louis Roma claimed the couple had split. In a series of tweets he wrote, “Rihanna and ASAP Rocky have split. Rihanna broke up with him after she caught him cheating with shoe designer Amina Muaddi.”
Noting that Muaddi and Rocky go way back, Roma added, “ASAP and Amina is not new though as she was seeing him years ago and also collaborated with him on a collection of shoes.” Roma added that the couple split up at Los Angeles restaurant Craigs during the first week of April.
Roma initially added that Rihanna had recently unfollowed Muaddi on Instagram but deleted the tweet when Rihanna’s fanbase pushed back, noting the CEO and music mogul had never followed him.
Muaddi not only collaborated with Rocky’s AWGE platform, she was also tapped by Rihanna in 2020 to design Fenty‘s shoe offerings before the label was put on pause in February 2021 of last year.
As the story gamed steam on social media and began to be covered by the press, Rihanna’s team issued a firm denial on the break up first with TMZ through a unnamed source who stated, “100% false on both counts. One million percent not true. They’re fine.”
With the Navy filling her Instagram feed with angry accusations, Muaddi, who had posted an image of Rihanna in her shoes the prior day, took the unusual step of issuing a statement (below) denying the rumor, which she described as fake gossip. In the note, she wrote, “I’ve always believed that an unfounded lie spread on social media doesn’t deserve any response or clarification, especially one that is so vile,” she began. “I initially assumed that this fake gossip — fabricated with such malicious intent — would not be taken seriously. However in the last 24 hr I’ve been reminded that we live in a society that is so quick to speak on topics regardless of factual basis and that nothing is off limits.”
The news couldn’t come at a worse time, not only because Rihanna is in her final trimester but also because the cheating scandals follows o the heels on her latest Vogue cover in which she spoke about her relationship with Rocky on the record for the first time. Describing the Harlem-born rapper as someone who became “family” during the lock down, the relationship further strengthened by a summer 2020 cross country trip they took in a tour bus. “There’s no pretentious my-brand-your-brand bullshit, it’s just us living,” she said about the Harlem born rapper. “I just feel like I can do any part of life by his side.”
In response to the dual denials, Roma deleted his original posts and issued an apology.

While Rihanna’s team and Muaddi have denied the affair and break up, chatter about Rocky cheating on Rihanna with women while he was touring in South America in March have been circulating on gossip sites Crazy Days and Nights as well as Instagram site @deuxmoi, which posted an image of Rihanna and Rocky dining at Craigs where the person providing the info claimed he saw her crying at the table.
As well, the once inseparable couple have barely been spotted together since their trip to attend several shoes during Paris Fashion Week. While the attractive couple were spotted sharing dinner in Los Angeles on April 2nd and 6th, a week prior, she attended Jay-Z and Beyoncé‘s Oscar party by herself.
